Responses are limited to ten (10) pages, excluding marketing materials and specification sheets. The purpose of this market research is to obtain information on installation, maintenance and repair of barriers and entry gates. The government contemplates soliciting a requirement for crash rated and non-crash rated barriers and vehicle entry gates (swing and slider) for over 103 locations in the United States and its territories, currently being provided by various manufacturers. Preventive Maintenance: • Describe your firm's protocol for a preventive maintenance site visit. Assessment: • Identify barriers (manufacturer/ type (e.g. hydraulic/mechanical/electrical)) for which your firm is able to perform assessments and/or maintain. • Identify and describe your firm's practices in performing assessments. Training: • Explain how your firm evaluates or certifies technicians who install, maintain and repair barriers and entry gates. • Describe the minimum requirements for technician certification, if any. • Are your technicians trained by the manufacturer? Please explain. • Explain how training requirements by manufacturers are handled. For example, is training conducted at the manufacturer's facility? • What is the liability of having certified vs. non-certified technicians work on specific barriers? Please explain. Coverage: • This agency has more than 103 barriers located nationwide. Describe your firm's capability of providing nation-wide service. • Explain whether there are mechanisms for providing and compiling data reports and coordinating schedules. • Discuss any subcontracting or teaming arrangements that you might consider for a nationwide contract, if applicable.
