- **ATTENTION** ALL FORMAL COMMUNICATION RELATED TO THIS ACQUISITION MUST BE DIRECTED TO: EDDIE GORDON, CONTRACT SPECIALIST; EMAIL: EDDIE.L.GORDON6.CIV@MAIL.MIL. NO TELEPHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED. The Army Contracting Command - Redstone has a limited competition requirement for the manufacturing of the Apache Helmet Assembly which is a sub-assembly of the Apache Aviator Integrated Helmet (AAIH) and is used by all AH-64E pilots. This procurement is in support of the Apache Block III program and will provide AH-64E fielding assets as well as training assets. Pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii); "Only one or limited number of responsible sources and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements". This synopsis is issued as a Limited Competition Request for Proposal (RFP) under solicitation number W58RGZ-17-R-0053. This procurement is being conducted as a new five year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract on a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) basis between Gentex Corporation, 324 Main Street, Simpson, PA, CAGE code: 97427 and Elbit Systems of America (ESA) LLC., operating through its EFW Inc. subsidiary, 4700 Marine Creek Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76179, CAGE code: 0WEC9. The Government projects award for April 2017. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. However, all proposals received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
