Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17, intends to issue a Request for Proposal for brand name Olympus endoscopes, to include all equipment, technology, and services required for patient care in all departments (i.e. operating rooms and clinics). The medical equipment will be used in hospitals, outpatient clinics, and remote environments if needed. Currently, the VA has an estimated $8.5 million invested in Olympus hardware/assets for endoscopes across VISN 17. The intent is to establish a strategic partnership and use a strategic sourcing initiative that will result in a single award VISN-wide indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract available to all VISN 17 medical facilities for use by ordering officers. VA intends to issue the solicitation as a total service disabled Veteran-owned small business set-aside under NAICS code 334510, and in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12. Vendor(s) shall be able to supply new Olympus endoscopes, medical equipment, service agreements, and train VA staff and affiliates. Vendors shall have a service agreement with the Original Equipment Manufacturer, verified by an authorization letter or other document from the OEM, such that the OEM s warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. This requirement will be for new OEM Olympus medical equipment only for VA Medical facilities. No remanufactures or gray market items will be acceptable. Vendors shall provide access to medical equipment as made available through their commercial catalogs (i.e. website or reference to parts and services on a federal supply schedule contract). All commercial Olympus medical equipment offerings available through the vendor's commercial catalog may be purchased through this IDIQ. All medical equipment within the scope of this IDIQ are identified as and determined to be commercial items readily available in the commercial marketplace.
