Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground � Natick Contracting Division on behalf of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities and Development Command (CCDC), Bio-Sciences and Technology Team - Soldier Performance Optimization Directorate (SPOD) intends to procure on a sole source basis under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements � A preventative maintenance agreement for the NGC Discover 10 Medium-Pressure Chromatography Systems previously purchased from Bio-Rad. This is a unique instrument that serves an essential role for biological-chemical research as well as sample preparation throughout CCDC Soldier Center. A maintenance service contract is required for repairing the NGC Discover 10 Medium-Pressure Chromatography Systems as well as allowing the system to receive routine maintenance to ensure its continued operation. Doing repairs ad hoc is time consuming and significantly more expensive. Natick Contracting is anticipating awarding this contract to Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. 2000 Alfred Nobel Drive, Hercules, CA, 94547-1804. Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. is the only known source that can service the NGC Discover 10 Medium-Pressure Chromatography Systems and it is proprietary to Bio-Rad Laboratories. A Firm Fixed Price Contract will be issued.
