- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), NAS Patuxent River, MD awarded contract (N00019-20-C-0031) to General Atomics � Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), Poway, CA on 19 June 2020.� Under this contract, GA-ASI will deliver two (2) MQ-9A Reaper Unmanned Air Systems (UAS), one (1) Dual Control Mobile Ground Control Station, one (1) Modular Data Center, and one (1) Mobile Ground Control Station in support of NAVAIR�s MQ-9A Reaper System Program.� This contract was awarded to GA-ASI in the amount of $26,866,441. This acquisition was pursued on a sole-source basis under statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, ""Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements."" A determination by the Government not to compete this effort was solely within the discretion of the Government. This effort is covered under Class Justification and Approval (CJ&A) number 20-0183 dated 12 June 2020. Place of Performance: Yuma, AZ and CENTCOM
