- Description
- The Pacific Northwest Research Station (PNW), Pacific Wildland Fire Sciences Laboratory (PWFSL) � Seattle, WA intends to issue a firm fixed price, sole source award to Geospatial Measurement Solutions, 1841 4th Street Hood River, OR 97031 for Structure Separation Experiments � GIS and Data Management Support. This procurement is being conducted under FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1). To solicit to another source would create a significant loss in efficiency and potential additional costs to the Government Geospatial Measurement Solutions (GMS) has significant and critical experience creating and using software tools for analyzing remote sensing data (imagery) and other data sources related to wildland-urban interface (WUI) fires. This includes the creation of a database for the Witch-Guejito WUI fire which will be used in this project. Without this experience, there will be a significant loss of efficiency due to the ramp-up time needed to recreate the algorithms and database needed to complete the tasks in this project. and is therefore authorized under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The anticipated award date is August 28, 2020. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 541690 and the size standard is $15,000,000.00. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement was based market research. A solicitation will not be issued. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
