- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Reginal Procurement Office (RPOE) VISN 5, located at 10 N. Green St., Baltimore, MD 21201 is issuing this Notice of Intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors of the Government s intent to execute a Sole Source Award under FAR Part 8 Required Sources of Supplies and Services, specifically FAR Subpart 8.405 Ordering Procedures for Federal Supply Schedules. The intended Contractor is Government Marketing & Procurement located at 13350 Ranch Rd. 12, Wimberly, TX 78676. Request for a service contract with Government Marketing & Procurement that shall cover a period of no more than 4 years. This BPA will provide a Vocera clinical communications system that is already in place at multiple VISN 5 Locations. The targeted period of performance is from 09/01/2020 to 08/31/2024. This contract shall cover all hardware and software required to keep the system operating at optimal performance. This covers project management services, performance assessments, workshop and call flow design, database development, knowledge transfer services, live support, post-deployment assessments, and third-party systems alarms. This procurement is being conducted using procedures pursuant to FAR Part 8 Required Sources of Supplies and Services, specifically FAR Subpart 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) allowing the Contracting Officer (CO) to solicit from only one source. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is, 811310 Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electric) Repair and Maintenance. The Product and Service Code for this requirement is J065 Maintenance and Repair of Medical, Dental, and Veterinary. The Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard for this sector is $20.5 Million. As permitted by FAR Part 10, this is a market research tool being utilized for informational and planning purposes. This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made based on unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
