- THIS SOLICITATION HAS BEEN MODIFIED TO ADD TWO (2) ATTACHMENTS FOR QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS AND A DRAWING. THERE ARE NO OTHER CHANGES TO THIS SOLICITATION. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. 12505B20S1007642 is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2020-06. The NAICS code applicable to this acquisition is 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors This requirement is 100% set aside for small business. For a small company to qualify as a small business, the small business standard is $16.5M. The USDA, ARS, lab in Ames, IA has a requirement for the installation of a dust collector. The Government intends to award a fixed price contract for the following item as identified in the Contract Line Item Number (CLIN): Installation of a dust collector, per required specifications Required specifications include all of the following: Purchase and installation of new Donaldson Torit DFO 2-2 (2 ea.) and (1 ea.) VS-1500 dust collector. The DFO 2-2 dust collectors will be replacing the dust collectors in the soil and plant grinding room (separate systems). VS-1500 replaces the dust collector in the wood shop. The VS-1500 is on a stand. Electrical hook up and duct replacement will be required. Duct work to include new canvas, new square to round, sealed seams, new duct to and from collector. New optional HEPA filters on the return air are to be included. Disposal of existing dust collectors. DOCUMENTS TO BE INCLUDED IN QUOTE: In order to be considered for award, Offerors shall provide 1) technical specifications; 2) price and 3) Company's DUNS number. REJECTION OF QUOTATION: Failure to demonstrate compliance will be cause to reject the quote without further discussions. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered.
