CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS Anesthesiology Care Line is requesting an upgrade to the following packages for our TEE machines: Philips Ultrasound 5.0 Software Automated Cardiac Motion Quantification Q-App (aCMQ): A2DQ 1.8 Software Cardiac TrueVue Software These software upgrades are critical to provide care for our veterans as we are starting our LVAD program. We currently have 5 Phillips TEE machines and these software upgrades must from Phillips as no other manufacturer can provide this. Below are specific details of what each piece of software does. Philips Ultrasound 5.0 Software improves upon the current software 4.0 to the latest software available by the manufacturer. The benefit of the update includes new features, improves overall system stability, improves the speed and performance of the system, and improvements in picture/video acquisition with our X8-2T probes. The upgrade also patches issues that were applicable to the 4.0 software (one important area is 3D interpretation of mitral valve, which is especially important to heart failure patients). The upgrade also improves compatibility between the QApps (a tools package for perioperative analysis of various heart analyzing modalities we use regularly to improve accurate and precise assessments of left and right heart as well as valvular function).
