- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE Project Title: Spiritual Care Services for VA Long Beach Healthcare System The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 22, Network Contracting Office 22 hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm-fixed-price contract for Spiritual Care Services with Father (Priest) William Connor to provide a Catholic Priest to provide Spiritual Care Services for the VA Long Beach Healthcare System. The period of performance for this effort shall be for one base year and the Government having the option to exercise four one-year option periods. Participating Healthcare Facility: VA Long Beach Healthcare System 5901 E. 7th Street Long Beach, CA 90822 This sole source contracting action is pursuing a waiver from acquiring these services on a competitive basis pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) for the aforementioned requirement based on the application of FAR 6.302- 3(a)(2)(ii). This hereby constitutes a synopsis of the action proposed in this announcement. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive and would not hinder the mission or objective. Responses are due on Monday, January 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM PST to the attention of Imelda Martinez, Contracting Officer at Imelda.martinez@va.gov.
