- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart�12.6 and FAR 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Instructions to offerors (Tailored for quotes under FAR part 13), evaluation criteria, and all applicable FAR Provisions and Clauses are attached. The solicitation number is 70Z02921Q8WH08900 and issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). Where Federal Acquisition Regulation clause language is inconsistent with FAR 13.004, Legal Effect of Quotations, that language is hereby tailored in accordance with FAR 12.302 to be consistent with a request for quotations. This tailoring includes, but is not limited to the following: In accordance with FAR 13.004, a quotation is not an offer, and any clause provision to the contrary is hereby modified to be consistent with FAR 13.004. Where the word ""offer/offeror� or a derivative of that word appears, it is changed to ""quote/quoter� or a derivative of that word. This solicitation is unrestricted. The applicable NAICS is 811310. This solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Price Service Order awarded to the offeror with the Lowest Price. Lowest price will be evaluated�an award will be made.�Offerors must be actively registered in System for Award Management - https://www.sam.gov. USCG Air Station Houston has a requirement to purchase the repair and inspection of two overhead cranes to include: New station button covers, new collector shoes, repair of bridge gear case oil leak, repair of hoist gear case leak, and troubleshoot/repair of west bridge motor. � 1. Crane 01: Kranco 9842 Repair minor Hoist Gear Box Leak Replace Fwd/Rvs control station labels with NSEW Replace collector shoes Repair Crane Gear Box Leak Troubleshoot/repair West bridge motor (When starting either direction bridge racks favoring east end. West end follows. Recommend further diagnostics and repair.) � 2. Crane 02: Monorail Replace control station rubber covers � **This job will be an open and inspect with cost not exceeding the amount of the contract without written approval first** FAR 52.237-1 -- Site Visit (Apr 1984). Offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. Date and place of delivery and acceptance is on or before January 28, 2020 Principle Place of Performance: USCG Air Station Houston 1178 Ellington Field Houston, TX 77034 Period of Performance: The project shall be completed within fourteen (21) calendar days after award date.
