Description
Subject to FAR Clause 52.215-3, entitled ""Solicitation for Information and Planning Purposes,"" this announcement constitutes a Sources Sought for information and planning purposes to identify qualified and experienced sources for an anticipated contract award under NAICS code 336611, Shipbuilding and Repair, with a size standard of 1,250 employees.� The Product Service Code (PSC) is J019.� Interested vendors are encouraged to respond; however, each respondent must clearly identify their business size in their capabilities statement.� Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) is issuing this Sources Sought request for information as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to accomplish the complete requirements.� The contractor shall furnish the necessary management, material support services, labor, supplies, and equipment deemed necessary to provide marine boatyard and industrial support, which includes specific modifications, upgrades, service life extension and repairs to Non-Commissioned boats, craft, lighterage and service craft and their associated systems (i.e., hull, mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems; trailers; transporters; deployment systems; slings and hoisting systems; launch and retrieval systems, etc.) and periodic maintenance primarily in support of Hampton Roads area of Virginia (Norfolk, VA vicinity) boats, craft, lighterage, and service craft custodians. As further specified in the draft work specifications attached to this notice. The Government has not yet determined whether an existing strategically sourced contract vehicle will be used to satisfy this requirement.� If it is determined to be in the best interest of the Government to utilize SeaPort-NxG, then the applicable NAICS code and size standard will be 541330, Engineering Services, and $41.5 million.� Respondents should provide their business size in both potential NAICS codes.� Interested businesses are invited to respond to this source sought announcement by providing the following Prime SeaPort-NxG contract number (insert only if a SeaPort contract holder).� This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis for written information only.� This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and a contract will not be awarded from this announcement.� This Sources Sought Notice is not to be construed in any way as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response.� A determination of the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is the responsibility of any potential Offeror to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. Interested entities shall provide the following information: 1) Organization name, address, email address, website address, telephone number, business size, and type of ownership for the organization. 2) Capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort, with appropriate documentation supporting claims of required qualification. Interested vendors, please indicate if you have a Master Agreement for Repair and Alteration of Vessels (MSRA) or an Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR). 3) Contractor and Government Entity (CAGE) Code.
