- Sources Sought for LEAD DISC This Sources Sought Notice is the initiation of market research under Part 10 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). This notice neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government from an ultimate acquisition approach. This notice should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. Requests for solicitation will not receive a response. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any input as a result of this market survey. The U.S. Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published. No award will be made as a result of this market survey. Description:� The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) Code M21 is seeking companies with technical capabilities and quality assurance in manufacturing and inspecting aluminum discs in the United States, which are currently used as production hardware for components released to the Fleet. NSWC IHD is requesting the aluminum disc to be manufactured and inspected in accordance with Naval Air Systems Command Drawing 3123AS3347 Rev. A to meet all requirements, including aluminum foil material, dimensions, and workmanship. Quantities are to be determined. The proposed contract will include a baseline quantity and four options to exercise for a 5-year contract. Submissions: All interested sources shall provide the organization name, address, point of contact, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, business size, taxpayer identification number, DUNS number, and CAGE Code. In addition, all interested sources shall provide a summary of their company's capabilities to include the inspection equipment, procedures and quality manual.
