- SYNOPSIS (Responses are not required) ________________________________________________ Title: Pre-Engineered Steel Aircraft Canopies Description: This procurement will result in a single award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for up to 60 pre-engineered steel aircraft canopies at Seymour Johnson AFB. The contractor shall �provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary for the installation of pre-engineered steel aircraft canopies. The potential contractor must demolish and dispose of the existing canvas shelters, provide and install pre-engineered steel canopies. Lightning protection, horizontal lifeline fall protection systems, and preventative measures to discourage birds from roosting will be installed within the steel canopies. Existing lighting and receptacles in the canvas shelters are to be removed and reinstalled on the new canopies; where lighting or canopies are not currently existing they will be provided and installed. The contractor will be responsible for the removal, storage and reinstall of the lighting. Existing pavement lines must be removed and temporary pavement markings provided as required to maintain aircraft taxi traffic patterns. Temporary markings will be removed and permanent markings will be repainted as construction is completed in each phase. All work performed by the contractor shall be performed in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, standards, instructions, and commercial practices. The IDIQ will consist of a 5 year ordering period with a minimum quantity of 1 canopy and a maximum of 60 canopies. A task order could be issued for greater quantities, up to the limit, but the installation would be completed in phases. The anticipated ordering period is 1 July 2021 � 30 June 2026. Award is anticipated mid-June.
