- This procurement was 8(a) Sole Source - Firm Fixed Price The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to design, construct and replace chain link perimeter fence and vehicle barrier systems at strategic locations throughout Naval Station Great Lakes. The new chain link fence will replace existing damaged or substandard chain link security perimeter fencing that meets the requirements of UFC 4-022-03, Security Fences and Gates. The new chain link fence shall be a minimum 7' fence fabric with an additional 1' high three-strand barbwire outriggers and meet all other applicable standards. New vehicle barrier system shall be a passive barrier able to absorb energy and transmit that energy to its foundation without catastrophic failure or major damage to system. Vehicle barrier shall blend in with surrounding environment and be aesthetically pleasing and not impede or disrupt visual appeal of existing ornamental fence.
