- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA New York Harbor Healthcare System, Manhattan Campus, intends to award a sole source firm-fixed-price contract to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Red One Medical Devices, LLC in accordance with FAR subpart 13.106-1. The acquisition sought is for the Joimax Endoscopic Spine Equipment. JOIMAX ENDOSCOPIC SPINE EQUIPMENT is a complete system for minimally invasive endoscopic procedures on the spinal column. The system consists of Endoscopes for transforaminal, interlaminar; cervical and intradiscal procedures. Joimax Endoscopic procedures to include minimal damage to soft tissue and muscle sparing; lower complication rates; shorter hospital stays; and less post-operative pain resulting in minimal Opioid need. Joimax is the only FDA approved pump-based system for minimally invasive endoscopic spinal surgery. It provides trans-foraminal, interlaminar, and spinal stenosis solutions. In comparison to currently available minimally invasive options this product will allow treatment of most degenerative pathologies with less than 8mm incisions. This proposed new contract shall be awarded to Red One Medical Devices, LLC, 513 East Oglethorpe Ave., Savannah, GA 31401 . This notice of intent to sole source is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. Challenges to this Intent to Sole Source shall be sent to Paul.Speedling@va.gov no later than 15:00 EST on April 14, 2021. Any responses received will be considered for the purposes of determining sources for future procurements. The Government will not pay for information submitted. Any information submitted in response to this notice of intent is strictly voluntary. This will be the only notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
