- THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY. The National Park Service (NPS), Great Smoky Mountains National Park, This project is for 2 buildings in close proximity to each other. The location is in the Twin Creeks area the park, on Cherokee Orchard Road in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Sevier County. This project is to replace asphalt shingles with Owens Corning Oakridge AR asphalt shingles in Desert Tan, and replace Brown 5V metal roofing, (Voorheis Main House) approximately 44 squares of Owens Corning Oakridge AR in Desert Tan, and approximately 580sqft of 36� 5V metal Brown in color. (Voorheiss Guest house) approximately 21 squares of Owens Corning Oakridge AR in Desert Tan. The contractor shall furnish all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to remove and replace roofing material. The structures are older buildings that have settled and may contain areas that are not perfectly square. The contractor will be responsible for using proper installation methods and proper trade methods for the adjustment of both unsquared and square areas along the roof, creating a visually appealing and weather tight roof. This proposed acquisition will be 100% small business set-aside procurement. The NAICS code is 238160 � Roofing Contractors. and the size standard is $16.5 million. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the magnitude of this requirement is estimated (a) Less than $40,000.00. The solicitation, plans, and specifications are expected to be posted on or about June 3rd, 2022 (this is a target date which may slip or change; if the solicitation is not posted on SAM.gov by March 3, 2022, that is because the solicitation is not available for posting). The solicitation will be available for a minimum of thirty (30) calendar days once posted. This is a Presolicitation Notice. The Solicitation will include information on how to obtain the plans and specifications. All responsible sources may submit a proposal to be considered by the Agency posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at https://www.SAM.gov. The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation. All interested offers MUST have an active vendor record in SAM.gov, be a small business under the identified NAICS code and NOT have any exclusion such as a delinquent federal debt or debarment. SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM): Federal Acquisition Regulations require that federal contractors register in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at https:// www.sam.gov and enter all mandatory information into the system. Award cannot be made until the contractor has registered. Interested offerors are encouraged to ensure that they are registered in SAM prior to submitting their quote.
