- Description
- The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Land and Maritime located at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, Virginia, Contracting Division intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract, for the items listed below utilizing the North American Industry Classification System Code 332439. This requirement will be set aside as a 100% Small Business concern. The Contract Line Items (CLINs) are as follows. CLIN 0001 280 Drum SPMYM122Q0133 N4215820546000 FFP DRUM, SHIPPING AND STORAGE ORDERING DATA: - MATERIAL: STEEL - STYLE: OPEN HEAD, REMOVABLE TOP WITH NO MORE THAN (2) HOLES OF SUITABLE SIZE (1) � INCH & (1) 2 INCHES (RIEKE PLUG AND FLANGE) BUNG TYPE HOLES IN TOP OF DRUM LID. THREADED PLUGS MUST HAVE SUFFICIENT LENGTH OF THREADS TO ENGAGE AT LEAST (4) THREADS WHEN SECURELY TIGHTENED WITH GASKET IN PLACE. - VOLUMNE: 55 GALLON - THICKNESS (TP/BD/BT): 1.5/1.2/1.2 MM (TP=16 GAUGE, BD/BT= 18 GAUGE) TP = TOP, BD = BODY, BT = BOTTOM. - UN SOLID: 1A2/X400/S (YEAR) - UN LIQUID: 1A2/Y1.5/150 (YEAR) - CLOSURE: BOLT RING. LUG TYPE LID AND LEVER LOCK CLOSURE NOT ACCEPTABLE. - GASKET: EPDM - INSIDE: UNLINED WITH RUST INHIBITOR - INSIDE DIAMETER (APPROX): 22.5 INCHES - INSIDE HEIGHT (APPROX): 33 INCHES - WEIGHT (APPROX): 50 LBS - EXTERIOR: BLACK WITH WHITE COVER PREFERRED. WHITE, BLUE & GREEN ARE ACCEPTABLE - MEETS PACKING GROUP II SPECIFICATIONS FOR REGULATED OR NONREGULATED SOLIDS OR MAY CONTAIN INNER PACKAGES UP TO 400 KILOGRAMS OR 882 LBS. - MEETS PACKING GROUP II SPECIFICATIONS FOR LIQUIDS WITH A SPECIFIC GRAVITY OF 1.5 AND A HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE (Kpa) RATING OF 150. NOTE: DO NOT PURCHASE IN COLOR YELLOW or RED, THESE COLORS ARE UNAUTHORIZED FOR USE. YELLOW or RED is prohibited for use in Shop Store 09A. A COPY OF THE CERTIFICATION (TIGHTENING TORQUE OF THE CLOSURE RING) SHALL BE INCLUDED WITH THIS ORDER. Material MUST be delivered at Norfolk Naval Shipyard by 12:00 O clock (NOON). ALL drums have to be hand off loaded from trucks delivering material.
