Description

Pre-Solicitation Notice: Mixed and Synthetic Acids Pre-Solicitation Notice for notice of intent to award a sole source contract.� This is not a solicitation. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD), Contracts Department, Code 02 intends to award a sole source contract for the manufacturing and delivery of Mixed & Synthetic Acids with El Dorado Chemical Company, 3503 NW 63rd ST, STE 500, Oklahoma City, OK 73116. The El Dorado Chemical Company is the only domestic source for the manufacture of bulk acids that meet the NSWC IHD local specifications. There are no alternates or substitutes with which are adequately networked or able to use. Selecting an alternate manufacturer would lead to unacceptable delays in cost and efforts. The applicable NAICS code is 325311 with a 1,000-employee size standard.� The PSC is 6810.� This action is be undertaken in accordance with FAR 13.106 (b) Soliciting from a single source, on the basis that the vendor is the only known source capable of meeting the government�s requirements. Interested vendors may contact the Contract Specialist regarding this procurement.� The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
