- Design Build Statement of Work Introduction The George E. Whalen Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Salt Lake City (VAMC SLC), hereinafter referred to as the Agency , is located at 500 Foothill Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. VAMC SLC is seeking a qualified design-build contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to provide design-build services to xeriscape certain specified areas on campus totaling to approx. 40,000 square feet. Detailed Scope of Work The chosen contractor is to provide all materials and labor to complete all landscaping services and design. The general scope of this project consists of replacing 7 grass areas with low-water usage xeriscaping. Work includes all landscaping and irrigation design and construction services. The work also includes but is not limited to: Water Usage & Irrigation Field investigations of existing site conditions, area measurements, and irrigation systems. Field verification of available record information. Stormwater Requirements Comply with all Federal, State, and local statues, laws, rules, and ordinances. Develop Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). Civil Site stabilized to prevent erosion and runoff of topsoil. Landscaping & Maintenance Considerations Specific design type across the 7 project areas throughout campus. working with VAMC SLC grounds crew and engineering staff to meet project needs and goals.
