Notice # 1146720 This is a special notice prepared in accordance with FAR 5.2 �Synopsis of Proposed Contract Actions�. There is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will receive no response. This proposed contract action is published to notify potential sources that the USDA Forest Service, SE FORESTRY SCIENCES LABORATORY intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price contract to Penrose Environmental, LLC (10TD08). (GYNFCMPXSYQ7) Closing date of Notice: June 11, 2025, at 5:00 PM (EST). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541620 The size standard is $19M. The period of performance is from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026 This project aligns with the priorities of the Forest Service Southern Research Station (SRS) by providing data on the health of aquatic species in the Piedmont region following varies land management practices. Benthic macroinvertebrate sampling offers insights into watershed dynamics that benefit both SRS and our partners by advancing knowledge and refining what we know about the effects of clear cutting and silvopasture on watershed hydrology and water quality.
