- Description
- New 203in Cannon Laser Bore Chamber Add-on Kit capability for 8in cannon gun tubes. This acquisition shall be capable of use the following. Precision non-contact bore measurement of 203 mm cannon smooth and rifle gun tubes. Measurement to the end of the muzzle with a guide tube adaptor that attaches to the muzzle, for supporting none-contact gauge and rigid /self-propelled delivery unit Laser cannon tube bore and chamber gauging kit shall employ a set of opposed high-resolution sensors that are automatically none-contact the bore chamber along its length to muzzle end of cannon tube. Data from these measurements shall be saved to the government-owned LP-5000 series data acquisition instrument and stored for processing and analysis using existing data analysis software US Army Yuma Proving Ground shall furnish to contractor following test items for upgrade, system configuration and integration. Medium Mini track Crawler 203mm. The system shall include the following items. One each 203mm Cannon Laser Bore Chamber Add-on Kit The 8in Cannon Laser Add-on Bore Gauging Kit shall be operated as a complete turn-key unit and include the following major components. 8in Cannon Bore Chamber Add-on kit. Guide tube assembly. Certified calibration 5 step ring. Laser Bore Chamber Calibration Workspace Software. The Laser bore chamber scanning modules shall meet the following specifications. Axial scan resolution. 0.25mm or 0.01 inch minimum. Rotary scan resolution: 0.1mm or 0.004 inch minimum. Sensor Resolution: 0.005mm or 0.00025 inch. Laser spot size is 0.050mm or 0.002 inch minimum. Measurement repeatability from 0.012mm or 0.0005 inch. Measurement Accuracy: minimum of 0.025mm or 0.001 inch in bore and 0.05mm or 0.002 inch in bore chamber. Angular Sampling Resolution. Variable up to 0.1 degrees per sample 3600 samples per revolution. Measuring Range diameter Chamber Bore Size with Minimum Range from Maximum Range 8.0000 to 8.5000 in Guide Tube Adapter GTA. The GTA shall be fitted to muzzle end of 8in tube model M201. Dimensions of muzzle end of tube shall be provided. The GTA shall allow the calibration ring to be removed while the GTA is attached to the cannon muzzle, allowing calibration to be performed with the GTA attached to the cannon muzzle Calibration Ring Set, Guide Tube Adapter. Each Calibration Ring shall have five steps diameters minimum within the center 75 percent of the range of the gauge. The Calibration Rings shall be measured with a NIST-traceable. A2LA Accredited, ISO 17025 and ANS/INCL Z540-1-1994 standards. Laser bore chamber Calibration Workspace Software. The calibration workspace shall meet the requirements outlined in the software section Software General. Data storage shall be compatible with existing YPG Laser bore mapping data. Operating system shall be Windows10 based platform. System Software License Registration shall be in Soft Key type. Automatic Sensor Calibration. Calibration software shall be capable of conducting an automatic calibration routine. Calibration Software shall provide a Pass or Fail display of calibration test results. If the calibration fails, the software shall automatically calculate corrected calibration parameters. Calibration software shall allow the operator to manually adjust offset and slope of the calibration algorithm Scanning. Laser scan style shall be incremental or helix with the Laser head rotating to collect measurements over 360 degrees at each axial location. Axial and rotary resolution of scans to be user settable. Data Display Zoom, pan display functions. Processed data file and bitmap image export. Multiple, operator-adjustable color palette application to any Color Plot display, with rainbow, thermal greyscale, and solid color palettes Data Analysis. Data analysis shall be supported by existing analysis software, with modification if required to meet the requirements in this specification. Analysis modules for post processing of data including but not limited to calculating land and groove diameter, area, statistics, reference subtraction, rotate data, remove centering offset, remove undefined data, remove bad data, variable median filter, averaging filter. QUALITY ASSURANCE AND WARRANTY PROVISIONS Preservation packaging and packing shall be in accordance with the manufacturer?s commercial practice. All components shall be covered by a full one-year warranty. Shipping and handling shall be included.
