- Action Code: This is a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE. Date: 6/5/2025 Contracting Office Address: Buffalo VA Medical Center 3495 Bailey Road Buffalo, NY 14215 Classification Code: This procurement is classified as 5675 - Nonwood Construction Lumber and related materials. Important: This notice does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. The intent of this notice is to provide the pre-solicitation notice required by FAR 5.2- Synopsis of Proposed Contract Actions in preparation for release of the Request for Quote (RFQ) at a later date. Description: The RFQ is planned to be issued in June of 2025. The Proposal due date is tentatively planned for June 19, 2025. The North American Industry Code Standard (NAICS) is 332323 Ornamental and Architectural Metal Work Manufacturing. The planned procurement method is an unrestricted Request For Quote (RFQ). The solicitation utilizes LPTA for the RFQ as long as salient characteristics are met. The resulting contract is planned to be a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract. The contract terms will be a base period of 12 months with four 12-month options. Only the base period of the contract will offer a minimum guarantee. This procurement is seeking a vendor to provide impact paneling and handrails that shall comply with VHA Master Construction Specifications Section 06 20 00 The proposed solicitation number is 36C24225Q0670. The procurement consists of one solicitation with the intent to award a single contract to the responsible offeror whose proposal, conforming to the RFQ, will be most advantageous to the Government resulting in the best value, price and non-price factors, comparative analysis may be utilized for the source selection process. Offerors are advised award may be made without discussions. Therefore, the Offerors should submit proposals which contain their best terms. This is an IDIQ contract with pre-established fixed price unit prices. The actual amount of work to be performed and the time of such performance will be determined by the Contracting Officer, or his/her properly authorized representative, who will issue written task orders to the contractor. Award of task orders will be on a firm fixed price basis. Set-Aside Status: The proposed contract is unrestricted. Additional Details: THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE OFFERED IN ELECTRONIC FORMAT ONLY. NO HARD COPIES WILL BE PROVIDED. Offerors can view and/or download the RFQ and attachments at SAM.gov | Contract Opportunities when the RFQ is posted. Interested parties can register under the Interested Vendors List at sam.gov. This will be the only method of amendment distribution; therefore, it is the OFFERORS RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE WEBSITE PERIODICALLY FOR ANY AMENDMENTS TO THE SOLICITATION. Prospective Offerors MUST register themselves on the website. Prospective Offerors must also be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM in order to participate in this procurement
