- High Pressure Case Industry Notice All information discussed at High Pressure Case Industry Day will be Unclassified and Distribution D � Distribution authorized to Department of Defense (DoD) and U.S. DoD contractors only. Date: July 09, 2025, 0800-1600 Eastern Standard Time (EST) Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD; Army Research Laboratory (ARL) Building 328 Description: The United States (U.S.) Army Contracting Command � Rock Island (ACC-RI) on behalf of the Project Manager Maneuver Ammunition Support (PM-MAS), is hosting a Small Caliber High Pressure Cartridge Case Industry Day & Vendor Demonstration. This event will take place at the Army Research Laboratory (ARL) Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MM, and is schedule to start at 08:00 AM Eastern Time (ET) on July 09, 2025. Check-in the day of the event at the ARL, Bldg. 328, APG, MD. The purpose of this event is to provide information regarding opportunities to fulfill upcoming requirements for a small caliber alternate cartridge casing, that can sustain High Pressures, while maintaining system reliability, safety function across a broad spectrum of environmental conditions and similar cost to existing brass casing. The expected technologies may include, but not limited to 5.56mm, 6.8mm, .338NM, 7.62mm and Intermediate calibers, with pressure between 40%-100% above standard NATO case mouth pressures. Participants interested in demonstrating their high pressure case can choose the host weapon system but must provide the required weapons/ammunition for testing. The Government will not provide any weapons or ammunition for use or demonstration. Registration Information: Interested participants must register for the High Pressure Case Industry Day by completing the registration form attached to this announcement. To manage attendance, registration may be limited to the number of attendees allowed per company. Please send the completed registration form electronically to Contract Specialist, Nicole Mayol at nicole.l.mayol.civ@army.mil and cc Procuring Contracting Officer, Paul Giovannoli at paul.giovannoli.civ@army.mil no later than July 01, 2025, at 3:00 PM EST with an email subject formatted as: �Response to High Pressure Industry Day Notice Announcement Number (REF) � (Company Name)�. All representatives MUST provide a government form of photo identification at registration on July 09. All briefs will be Distribution D � Distribution authorized to Department of Defense and U.S. DoD contractors only � as such, there will be no foreign visitors authorized to attend. Requests to attend the High Pressure Case Industry Day must include a brief statement outlining the company's capabilities in manufacturing small caliber ammunition. If a company does not currently manufacture small caliber ammunition or related subcomponents, their request must include a statement explaining the rationale behind their interest in attending the event. Industry Day questions can be submitted up to 48 hours prior to the event. Questions and responses will be presented and addressed with other companies present, in an open forum during the general Questions & Answers (Q&A) session. Please submit questions to add PCO/Specialist Nicole Mayol at nicole.l.mayol.civ@army.mil. Industry Day Information: The General Session will be conducted July 09, 2025, to cover: - Key manufacturing capabilities and requirements for high pressure cases of small caliber cartridges. - Government owned technical data and production options. A draft agenda for the General Session will be provided upon receipt of initial registration. All information exchanged during the General Session will be up to Distribution D � Distribution authorized to Department of Defense and U.S. DoD contractors only. One-on-one Sessions: One-on-one sessions will be scheduled upon Government acceptance of a company�s written request and will be unclassified. The Government will conduct one-on-one sessions immediately following the General Session on July 09, 2025. A limit of one session per company is permitted. Each session will be limited to approximately 30 minutes in duration. Companies interested in participating in a one-on-one session must indicate their interest during the initial registration process by July 01, 2025. Invitations will be sent out to registered companies once a timeslot has been scheduled. The one-on-one sessions will allow a company to showcase its current and future capabilities relevant to the Government�s need. The Government is interested in company technologies, manufacturing processes, workforce expertise, and overall capacity to support the small caliber ammunition industrial base. The Government is also looking for feedback to shape its acquisition strategy. With prior coordination, there is potential for vendor demonstrations to allow industry to showcase potential solutions. Vendor demonstrations would be held at the Aberdeen Proving Ground range to shoot samples of high pressure cases in identified weapons of the vendors choice. Vendors should have bolt face extraction measurement fixture available to measure live for the US Government and for the vendor to collect data in their setup. As stated above, the Government will not provide any weapons or ammunition for use or demonstration. Companies may only be in attendance during their scheduled appointment. Questions can be provided to Contract Specialist, Nicole Mayol at nicole.l.mayol.civ@army.mil and Procuring Contracting Officer, Paul Giovannoli at paul.giovannoli.civ@army.mil leading up to the event, as well as through the General Session on the day of the event. Industry Day Rules of Engagement: Information Exchange, Not Solicitation: The Government is being explicit that these sessions are for information gathering and requirements communication. This is not an opportunity for companies to lobby or try to win contracts by revealing proprietary information. No Sales Pitches or Giveaways: Sessions are about information exchange, not marketing. No Recording Devices: The use of cameras, tape recorders, or other reproduction devices is strictly prohibited. Registration and Identification: All contractor personnel must register and identify themselves accordingly, in advance. Any substitutions or changes to personnel must be provided to the Government at least 48 hours in advance. Any substitutions or changes less than that timeframe will not be permitted to attend. Companies participating in these sessions should carefully adhere to these guidelines to ensure a productive and positive interaction. This announcement shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a commitment by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government does not intend to award a contract based on this Industry Day.
