Description
This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Purchase Order and is not a request for competitive proposals. Place of Performance: Glen Canyon Dam, Page, AZ 86040. This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Purchase Order and is not a request for competitive proposals. The Bureau of Reclamation, Acquisition and Assistance Operations Branch, Denver, CO, intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order using FAR Parts 12 and 13 procedures to: South Central Utah Telephone Association, Inc. 318 N 100 E Kanab, UT 84741-3345 The requirement is to provide commercial fiber internet services to support the Bureau of Reclamation's operations at Glen Canyon Dam, Page, AZ. The contractor shall deliver a dedicated fiber internet connection with a fixed upload/download speed of 500 Gbps to the Demarcation Point (DEMARC) on the first floor of Glen Canyon Dam. The service must support 100200 concurrent users across dam operations and the visitor center. The contractor will be responsible for all maintenance and troubleshooting outside the DEMARC point; Glen Canyon personnel will manage maintenance inside the facility. This sole source procurement is justified under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). South Central Utah Telephone Association (SCUTA) is the only known source capable of providing the required high-speed commercial fiber internet service to the remote location of Glen Canyon Dam. SCUTA is the only provider with existing infrastructure and local access rights to deliver service to the DEMARC point. No other commercial ISP currently serves this geographic area with comparable service levels or infrastructure capacity.
