- Description
- The United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) is seeking a qualified and experienced contractor to provide labor, material, transportation, tools, equipment and supervision to perform the removal of existing lecture hall seating and install new seating in room 202 of Bowditch Hall. The contractor will deliver and install approximately 68 fixed chairs as specified, floor mounted, with a self-lifting seat that rises to a uniform �-safety fold position. Each seat will be equipped with aisle end panels and tablet arms, right hand or left hand, as designated in the design. Tablet arms shall be designed to provide a strong, stable work surface capable of supporting a 320 lbs. load at the center, and shall smoothly and quietly fold to a storage position when not in use. Retrieval of tablet arms shall be accomplished by the occupant without unnecessary bending, stooping, or reaching. When stored, the tablet arm shall be positioned parallel to, and beneath, the armrest, exposing a full and complete armrest; while concealing all attaching hardware and support structure. The Solicitation number is 6923G225Q000009 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The combined synopsis/solicitation will result in a firm, fixed-price Purchase Order (PO).This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate Request for Quote (RFQ) will not be issued. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining ALL quotation documents and acknowledging any amendments, and should re-visit this website periodically to check for any changes to this notice, updates, or amendments without further notice from the USMMA. Please ensure to click the follow option on the top right side of this solicitation. This requirement is a total set-aside for small business. Offers received from firms that are not small business concerns shall be considered non-responsive and will be rejected (in accordance with FAR 52.219-06 Notice of Total Small Business Set-Aside which applies to this solicitation). All responsible small business sources may submit a response which, if timely received, will be considered by the agency. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 337127 with a small business size of 500 standards in number of employees All quotes will be evaluted based on cost as the lowest price, technically acceptable (LPTA). The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes based on an acceptable/unacceptable basis to determine if the quoter meets the requirements described in the SOW and past performance of similar size, scope and complexity.
