Description
This is a Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought announcement only. This is not a solicitation announcement. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The purpose of this announcement is to gain knowledge of potential qualified contractors interested and capable of providing mop laundry services for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) facility located in Chelmsford, MA. The CMOP facilities process high volume, outpatient mail prescriptions for Veterans. This RFI/Sources Sought is part of the market research being conducted to locate qualified, experienced, and interested potential sources for supporting the CMOP. The Government will determine whether the requirement warrants any type of set asides. For this RFI/Sources Sought announcement, the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 812332 / $47M. Summary of Services being Sought The Contractor shall pick up and deliver between 7:00am and 1:30pm every Monday on a weekly basis, fresh dust mops and wet mops in clean and serviceable condition as well as provide and exchange 2 linen containers to empty the weekly used items. Upon notification of unsatisfactory items, the Contractor shall be required to replace items with acceptable quality as soon as possible, but no later than 24 hours after notification of unacceptable status. Federal holidays shall be scheduled for the convenience of the Government when Monday delivery is affected. It is the Contractor s responsibility to arrange the holiday schedule with the Contracting Officer s Representative (COR) at least two weeks prior to the holiday. In the absence of the COR, the Contractor shall contact the Contracting Officer (CO). The vendor must supply the CMOP with the following items which must be picked up weekly and exchanged with freshly laundered items. Ten each 24 Dust Mop. Ten each 48 Dust Mop. Fifty each Large Wet Mop. More information will be provided in the Performance Work Statement in the solicitation. Presented here are the key factors to consider if you may be interested.
