- This is an informational notice and not a request for quotes. Only current BPA holders will be eligible to submit quotes. This is a synopsis and will not be followed by a soliciation. Description: The primary purposes of this notice are to improve small business access to acquisition information and enhance competition by identifying contracting and subcontracting opportunities. A competitive Request for Quotes is planned with award to be made to vendor with a R5 Pacific Southwest Stewardship Blanket Purchase Agreement for the Sierra National Forest, Bass Lake Ranger District. Only current BPA holders will be eligible to submit quotes. In accordance with the BPA terms and conditions, the solicitation shall be emailed directly to all Sierra National Forest BPA holders in lieu of posting the solicitation at https://sam.gov/. An open-continuous RFQ is posted on sam.gov for the R5 Pacific Southwest Stewardship BPA. Vendors interested in being awarded a BPA should respond to RFQ Number: 12363N22Q4055. Quotes are being accepted but no new awards are planned until the fall of 2025 due to limited workforce capacity and increased BPA review and approval requirements. The government has a large pool of BPA vendors to ensure adequate competition. Roush Fuels Restoration Stewardship IRSC Project Description and Location: The objectives of this project are to restore forest health, remove hazardous fuels for site prep and planting, and treat hazardous fuels along and adjacent to roads and campgrounds. This will reduce the future risk of high severity wildfire. Thinning will promote stands that are in line with NRV and help reduce the risk of stand replacing fires. The removal of hazardous fuels for site prep is a vital step of the continued post-fire restoration with establishing wildlife habitat for future use. The removal of hazards trees will provide safe access and working conditions on and adjacent to Forest Service roads 8S70, 7S76, 7S07, 7S08, 7S34. To accomplish these objectives, the contract includes the following requirements: Cut, Skid and Process Included Timber. Haul Included Timber to a Processing Facility Cut and pile all dead trees and Existing Fuels Fell designated trees that pose a hazard of striking roads and existing infrastructure in designated units. Cut and pile ladder fuels, dead trees and existing slash Skid and/or yard felled trees to approved locations for disposal by the Forest Service. Project is in the Whisky Ridge area. The legal location of the project is: Township 7 South, Range 23 East, Sections 24, 25, 26, 27, 34, 35, 36, and Township 8 South, Range 23 East, Sections 1, 2, 3, 10, 11. Mount Diablo Base Meridian. Project Completion Deadline: December 31, 2028
