- This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for quotes. The Department of Veterans Affairs on behalf of New York Harbor s Corbin VA Medical Center, intends award to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), sole source action to: Name of Contractor: ARxIUM Inc Street Address: 1400 Busch PKWY City, State, Zip: Buffalo Grove, Illinois 60089-4541 The Pharmacy Department at Corbins VA Medical Center has a brand name only requirement for OptiFill canisters and on-site support. Product Code Product Name CLM100 New OptiFill II Canisters CLM100 ARxIUM Resource for Onsite Support 3 days In accordance with FAR 13.106(b), it has been determined that only one source is reasonably available due to the requirements for compatibility with existing Optifill II automated medication dispensing systems. OptiFill Systems are pharmacy fulfilment solutions based upon proprietary software and hardware designs that are wholly owned and held by ARxIUM, Inc. ARxIUM is the sole manufacturer and distributor of OptiFill Systems, including all integrated PPS software, workstations and servers as well as the integrated FastFill 54 vial filling device. ARxIUM does not license or authorize any third-party vendor to sell OptiFill Systems or replacement parts/components in any commercial market, nor do we authorize or license any third-party vendor to install, modify or support our proprietary software. Market research was conducted in accordance with FAR Part 10 for systems compatible with the existing OptiFill Systems, these efforts failed to produce additional options. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) this notice of intent to sole source with justification to limit sources, satisfies the public posting requirements. Veterans Health Administration prohibits the use of gray market items in their Medical Centers. Gray market items are considered to be items outside of the original equipment manufacturer s intended distribution channels. This notice is not a request for quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the Government. All capability statements must be received by no later than 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on July 16, 2025. Responses to be submitted to Lindsay Goldsmith, Contracting Officer at lindsay.goldsmith@va.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
