- This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. This IS NOT a REQUEST for PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS, or BIDS. Responses to this request will not be returned. Not responding to this sources sought does not preclude participation in any future and potential solicitation. It is the intent of the Contracting Office to use this information for market research purposes only. The survey is being conducted to determine the interest of industry within NAICS codes 336611 and establish that there are adequate Small Business (HUBZONE 8(a) or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business) contractors for providing marine drydocking and repair services. The Government WILL NOT pay for the provision of any information, nor will it compensate any respondents for the development of any such information. If a formal solicitation is released, it will be via the SAM.gov website www.sam.gov. The Philadelphia District of the Corps of Engineers intends to procure services to overhaul the Survey Vessel Cherneski. The contractor shall furnish all engineering, design, labor, services, equipment, parts and materials necessary to perform the drydocking and repairs. The Survey Vessel CHERNESKI has the following principal dimensions: Overall Length: 47 feet - 8 inches Overall Beam: 15 feet - 0 inches Molded Depth: 7 feet - 3 inches Displacement (loaded): 21 long tons Draft: 3 feet - 0 inches Gross Tonnage: 18.75 long tons (loaded) Vessel is constructed entirely of aluminum: The vessel is not certificated by the USCG. The vessel is not classed by the ABS. All interested Small Businesses, certified HUBZONE, 8A, Women-Owned Small Businesses, or Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this survey by email. Responses should include: Identification of the company�s small business status. Contractor�s Unique Identifier Number and CAGE Code(s). Descriptions of Experience � Interested shipyards should provide examples of projects completed, or significantly completed (i.e. 95%) in the past 5 years where the interested firm served as the prime contractor. Example projects should be of similar size and scope. Small Businesses are reminded under FAR 52.219-14, Limitations on Subcontracting; that the firm will not pay more than 50 percent of the amount paid by the Government for contract performance, excluding the cost of materials, to subcontractors that are not similarly situated entities.
