- Statement of Work (SOW) PODIATRY CLINIC VACUUM FOOT DRILLS ALBANY STRATTON MEDICAL CENTER Introduction Podiatry Clinic on a daily basis s services 45 to 50 Veterans in the Podiatry Clinic. As part of the care for the Veteran Debriding with Vacuum Foot Drill is part of the care needed by the Podiatry Service. Background /Objective This Statement of Work (SOW) outlines the requirements for obtaining Podiatry replacement for vacuum /drills needed in the Podiatry Clinic. The debriding system utilizes a vacuum attached to a foot drill for patients requiring this type of treatment. The use of the vacuum foot drill is intended to debride callous and other hard tissue, and to shape toenails during therapeutic procedures. The debriding services are necessary to address specific medical conditions and improve patient well-being.� REQUIREMENT/SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS/SPECIFICATIONS Common Nomenclature (commercial description): HAND DRILLS: FOOT CARE Description: Brand Name or equal to Pro Vac File® Debriding Drill with Vacuum features a 40,000-rpm motor with variable and reversible speed control for quick debriding. Integral vacuum handpiece captures debris and deposits it into replaceable HEPA vacuum filter bag inside the base unit. Lightweight handpiece with push/pull automatic locking chuck that eliminates the need for wrenches or twisting when changing tools. Includes on/off foot control. Uses standard 3/32"" burs. Replacement Vacuum Filter Bags, Mandrel 3/32"" Shaft for Sanding Band, and Podiatry Cart also available, sold separately. � 10""W x 9""L x 6""H Handpiece weight: 5 oz. Includes: Main unit with motor and vacuum, 1 wire and vacuum harness, handpiece, electrical cable 12 lbs. 2-year warranty Principles of operation: Handheld instruments designed to hold and provide rotatory movement (i.e., torque) to integral or detachable burs that are used for foot care. Foot care hand drills consist of high-speed powered (e.g., electric) instruments that typically include a control unit and an attached handpiece with a chuck and work with detachable components such as burs and polishing devices. Foot care hand drills are intended primarily for debriding callous and other hard tissue and for shaping the toenails during therapeutic or cosmetic procedures; some dedicated burs also permit use under the nails Intended use: Used in Podiatry patient Equipment with which the item is used: Foot care hand drills are not usually intended for nail care; they frequently include irrigation and/or vacuum suction capabilities. Scope of Work:� The Contractor shall provide professional medical services for debriding with a vacuum foot drill for designated patients. The contractor shall deliver the foot drills to Albany Stratton VA Medical Center 528A8 5th floor D Wing Podiatry Clinic room D512. Period of Performance: The contractor shall deliver the equipment within the 30 Days ARO. Specific Deliverables This Equipment request is for Eight Podiatry Foot Drills with vacuum units. All units must pass testing and inspection by Biomed and the using service.
