Description
NOTICE OF ITENT TO SOLE SOURCE. This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.101 requiring dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22, located at 4811 Airport Plaza Dr., Suite 600 Long Beach, CA 90815 is issuing this Notice of Intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors of the Government s intent to execute a Sole Source Delivery Order under FAR Part 8, specifically FAR Part 8.405-6(a)(1)(B) and (C), Only One Available Source. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 541511, Computer Programming Services. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 7A21, IT and Telecom Business Application Software (Perpetual License Software). The Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard for this sector is $34 Million. The intended contractor for this project is CANON MEDICAL INFORMATICS INC, located at 5850 Opus PKWAY STE 300, Hopkin, Minnesota 55343-4411, USA. The place of performance is the Long Beach VA Healthcare System, situated at 5901 E 7th St, Long Beach, CA 90822 USA. The Cardiology department has identified the need to acquire the Vitrea, CT Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) Planning App-System Add-On. The CT Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) Planning assists with the assessment of the aortic valve and in pre-operational planning and post-operative evaluation of transcatheter aortic valve replacement procedures. This application is available for the concurrent Vitrea system used in the Medical Center. In addition, there is the need for the Education Unit Services in the fundamentals of advanced imaging, clinical applications and technical administration that is provided for this specific software to continue the enhance of operational capabilities and aligns with the strategic objectives of standardization and efficiency across the LBVAHS and VA facilities nationwide. This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available, and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and compelling evidence that the responding company can provide the same items/services, and that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. The information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Department of Veterans Affairs will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent.
