Description

The Federal Aviation Administration has a requirement to remove and install 2 Centrifugal Chillers and modify existing centrifugal Chillers at the Washington ARTCC, Leesburg, Virginia. The estimated funding range for this project is between $1,500,000.00 and $2,000,000.00. Interested contractors should request a copy of the Contractors Screening Information Request (CSIR) by contacting Mr. Agapito C. Dadiz, 1 Aviation Plaza, Jamaica, NY 11434-4809 by close of business September 30, 2000. Requests may also be faxed to 718-995-5684. Requests received after that date will not be responded to. The first seven (7) contractors, who after review and evaluation, receive a percentage rating of 70% or above will receive the Request for Offer for this project.Contractors will be evaluated In the following: (1) Working in a critical 24 hour/day, 7 day/week operational facility where interruption of service is not allowable. (2) In construction/renovation of chilled water plants consisting of chillers, pumps, variable-speed drives and refrigerant leak monitoring systems. (3) In the installation of Electric HVAC controls systems. (4) In the abatement of asbestos containing material in an occupied facility. (5) In the installation of new electrical power systems. (6) In the renovation of existing motor control centers. (7) In the conversion of chillers from CFC to non CFC refrigerant. (8) In the installation of reinforced concrete and piping supports for seismic requirements.
