Description

In accordance with FAR 5.205(e), this is the first notice of this requirement. The Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) has the following announcement: Interested sources are sought to perform services in support of the Department of Defense Security Assistance Accounting Operation currently performed in Charleston, SC; Columbus, OH; Denver, CO; Dayton, OH; Limestone, ME; Omaha, NE; San Anotnio, TX; San Bernardino, CA; Indianapolis, IN; Rock Island, IL; and St.Louis, MO. This procurement will be conducted as part of a cost comparison under the commercial activity OMB Circular A-76 guidelines. A release of the draft solicitation is aniticipated for October 2000, and will be posted to DFAS Web Page http:www.dfas.mil/aso/contract/. A combination Fixed Price/Time & Materials, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity type contract is anticipated. The period of performance will be a base year and four one-year options plus an option to extend the contract for six months in accordance with FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services.
