Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, Water Resources Division, seeks sources to manufacture steel measuring tapes for measuring water levels in ground water wells and surface water bodies (rivers, lakes, and streams). Three types of tapes are required: (1) carbon steel, etched black with graduated raised steel markings and with a protective epoxy coating, lengths range from 100 feet to 500 feet, with and without reel assemblies; (2) type 316 stainless steel with etched graduated markings, punched holes, lengths range from 25 feet to 500 feet,and (3) type 316 stainless steel with etched graduated markings, lengths range from 25 feet to 100 feet.
